Safer® Brand Moss & Algae Killer & Surface Cleaner effectively eliminates mosses, algae, lichens, liverworts and grime from a variety of surfaces. Because this product is made from naturally occurring, biodegradable fatty acids, this water-based solution is non-corrosive to metals. It also contains no zinc or iron, and is non-staining on most surfaces. Moss and Algae Killer is excellent for spot control and one bottle will treat up to 50 square feet.
This convenient ready-to-use spray is reviewed and listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute and compliant for organic production.

Safer® Brand Moss & Algae Killer & Surface Cleaner uses naturally occurring fatty acids known as potassium salts of fatty acids to kill moss, algae, lichens and liverworts. Once applied, the fatty acids cause the moss and algae to discolor quickly, and begin to dry out and slough off of the affected surfaces naturally. This solution is biodegradable and is excellent for spot control on a variety of outdoor surfaces.

How to Use Moss & Algae Killer
Be sure to shake the bottle before using to ensure proper mixture and distribution while spraying. For best results, moisten the area to be treated before applying product. Spray the affected area with Safer® Brand Moss & Algae Killer until thoroughly wet. Avoid spraying when precipitation is expected as this product works to dry out the moss and algae. Treated moss, algae, lichens and liverworts will dry and slough off naturally so there’s no need for physical removal. If any white residue is left on cement, bricks or dark shingles, it can be removed with vinegar.
