Our Safer® Brand Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a natural anti-caking agent designed to be used as an animal feed additive. The formula aids in better flow and mixability of animal feed without added chemicals. This food grade diatomaceous earth prevents clumping and does not absorb the nutrients of the food. When used as directed, this product causes no harm to animals. Be sure not to exceed more than 2% of your animals’ total diets.

What is Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous Earth, commonly called D.E for short, is made from diatom fossils. Diatoms are tiny organisms found in rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans. They are comprised of silica, a common substance naturally found on earth. Diatoms found in water, use silica to reproduce which then allows them to photosynthesize, and most importantly, they produce oxygen. Diatoms are naturally bountiful and truly the building blocks of life. Our D.E is made from mined freshwater silica deposits.
Anti-Caking Animal Food Additive
A frustration of farmers and even pet owners alike is caking. When food or grain has too much moisture it can spoil, cake and not disperse properly, therefore, clogging machines.
