Most homeowners have experienced a fruit fly problem at one time or another. These tiny insects are often spotted swarming near garbage cans and, of course, near bowls of fruit in kitchens. Luckily, with the TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap, you can get the best of these annoying household pests in no time.
These fast-acting traps use a non-toxic, food-based liquid bait to lure adult fruit flies into the trap. Once the flies enter the trap, they cannot escape to continue breeding and multiplying. And better yet, it lasts up to 60 days! The trap also features an attractive apple-shaped design that will look at home in any kitchen – gone are the days of unsightly traps inside your home.
How Do They Work?
Fruit flies depend on moist organic debris to complete all the stages of their life cycle. The TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap’s non-toxic solution lures the flies to the trap and eliminates the infestation wherever it exists. To use, simply place the trap near a breeding source, such as a garbage can. In a matter of days, you should begin to notice a dramatic decrease in the number of fruit flies around your home.
Easy Activation
Getting rid of fruit flies has never been easier. To activate the TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap, pull the leaf-like lid off the base of the trap to expose the vapor chamber. Next, empty half (15mL) of the liquid lure into the vapor chamber of one of the traps. Finally, place the trap in an area where flies are swarming and where it won’t be disturbed or tipped over. Then just sit back and let your trap do the work! Discard the trap after 60 days of use.
Locate Breeding Areas
When trying to eliminate fruit flies, the key to success is locating their breeding areas. Once you’ve found it, place a TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap nearby to begin attacking the problem. You’ll typically spot fruit flies swarming around kitchen fruit bowls and near garbage storage areas. Place traps behind or under kitchen counters, sinks, dishwashers, near unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables, and any other location where fruit is stored.
