Charger Distance Ratings
The amount of fence line that your Fi-Shock® charger can operate depends on several factors, including the type of fence line you’re choosing. Steel wire, for example, carries power further along the fence line than poly fencing. This fence is ideal for light weed or no weed conditions. Vegetation, weeds, and fallen tree branches may limit the distance electricity can be carried along a fence line. Ensure your fence is working to the best of its ability by regularly walking the fence line to check for disturbances.

Control Small Animals and Wildlife
This solar-powered energizer helps to control chickens, rabbits, and small wildlife within a perimeter. You can also use your fence line to keep out smaller wildlife like raccoons, possums, skunks, and foxes. The low impedance, pulsed output, creates 1-second intervals to give a shock and release for the safety of the animals. Delivering .04 joules and up to 8,000 volts, this solar charger provides ample strength for your containment needs.
For Traditional or Poly Fencing
The versatile Fi-Shock® 2 Mile Solar Fence Charger is compatible to use with traditional steel or aluminum fencing, polywire, polyrope, and polytape. Keep in mind that poly products and vegetation on the fence line will reduce the power along the fence line. Typically, poly products can cut the charger’s output voltage in half.
How to Use
Upon receiving your solar charger, place the unit in full sunlight for 3 days in the OFF position. This will charge the internal rechargeable battery within the energizer, rendering it ready for use! Next, connect the grounding wire and fence line wire to the terminals of the charger. Turn the Fi-Shock® 2 Mile Solar Fence Charger into the ON position, and the fence ok light will light up and blink in one-second intervals. This shows that the solar charger is operating properly.
